This year the NAEC conference will be on June 23, 2017.



We would like to invite you to participate in our annual NAEC on June 23, 2017.  The event is sponsored by the Architectural Engineering Institute - Nebraska (AEI) and ASHRAE - Nebraska Chapter.  It is a one day Technical Conference and Expo for professionals and students involved in the building industry.  It will be held at the Scott Conference Center, 6450 Pine Street, Omaha, Nebraska from 8am to 4:30pm.


This event will present an opportunity to engineers, architects, contractors, building managers and owners, interior designers, students and other professionals involved in the building industry to learn about new technologies, applications and methodologies used in design, construction and building operations.

The advantages of being part of our event are many and may include; personal recognition, increased awareness of your company, and membership in the distinguished and noted group of past speakers/panelists on the NAEC event archives.


Speaker’s applications are now accepted. There will be four topic tracks with 4 to 5 speakers throughout the day.


Track 1 - Building Commissioning and Performance
Track 2 - Building Systems and Applications
Track 3 - Sustainability and Efficient Buildings
Track 4 - Project Management and Engineering Economics

 

We also accept applications for 4 hrs training and/or certification sessions.

Proposal Guidelines &Tips:                                                                                                                             

  • Identify your anticipated audience(s) and level of expertise or development;
  • Provide a compelling title;
  • Provide short abstract describing the objectives of the topic; At least minimum 4 objectives of the topic.
  • Select applicable track
  • Presentation shall be 45-50 minutes long with 10-15 minutes for questions/discussion;
  • Expenses such as travel and logging are covered by the event organizer; Speaker expense donation by your organization is welcomed;
  • Presentation shall be focused on a new technology, application, energy efficient operation, i.e. a curriculum;
  • Maximum attendees per session - 20 people
  • A LCD projector on a cart, screen, podium and microphone will be provided in each room. NOTE: Computers/laptops will be provided.  Presenters who would like to use their laptop are welcome to do so. Handouts will NOT be provided. Presenters can bring their own handouts. 

 Note: If you’re abstract is selected for the conference, you will be contacted via e-mail with additional information for travel and hotel arrangements, as well as a contract agreement.
